Guests & Friends
For over 30 years Grace has been a lighthouse in this community, sharing Christ's love and message of hope to all. We're confident that you will find a place just for you at Grace Baptist Church! Here at Grace, so many people are finding hope and discovering God's purpose for their life in our uplifting weekly services. We invite you to join us!
How can I find Grace Baptist ?
Our church campus is located on South Townline Road less than two miles west of Interstate 75 at exit 282, here in Gaylord, Michigan. As a landmark, the recently built Meijer shopping center is right across the road from the church. You can find a detailed map here
on our website. We are easy to find!
When are the services?
The Sunday morning services begin at 11:00 a.m. in the main auditorium for adults and teens. There is a children's service during this time that is prepared especially for their needs and level of understanding. Of
course the nurseries are also available for the younger ones. The Sunday evening service at 6:00 p.m. is a highlight for many. Always encouraging and challenging, it is a weekly appointment you'll not want to miss! There is a Bible Hour Toddler program available during the preaching part of the service as well as nurseries for the duration of the evening.
The Wednesday evening meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. and is also held in the main auditorium. This refreshing time of Bible study is also coupled with a children's Bible Hour and nursery services.
What do I do once I arrive?
Relax! We're here to serve you. If you've arrived in time for Sunday School at 9:45 a.m., our friendly greeters will meet you at the door and help direct you to the appropriate class or service. If you plan to attend only one of our main worship services an usher will help you find a comfortable seat. There are Sunday School classes available for all ages and clean, professional nurseries for infants and toddlers.
Where do I take my children?
Here at Grace Baptist, we place a huge emphasis on young people. We have carefully planned and prepared to meet the needs of each one of your children. We offer Sunday school classes and special children's services for every age group, and clean professional nurseries for the infants and young toddlers. Once you arrive at our main entrance you will be met by one of our greeters and they will help to direct both you and your children or friends to an appropriate class or service.
What should I wear?
The truth of the matter is, there is no strict dress code for our public services! We want you to be comfortable and ready to concentrate on the message of God's Word. Many in attendance will be wearing their "Sunday best" - the men in dress shirts and dress slacks, typically with a tie, and the women in appropriate dresses.
What are the services like?
Although there are many things that are wrong in this world, we believe that our God is alive and well. He is a living Savior, and we worship Him with an attitude of victory and thankfulness! Our choir will open the service with
an exciting and uplifting chorus, and then the congregation will join in singing several of the great praise and worship hymns found in the old-fashioned song book. It's not uncommon for folks to lift a hand in worship or lift an extra word of praise to God during the song service. Our Lord is worthy!
Special music is always prepared by a variety of church members to enhance the services. These are also exciting songs that will encourage you and bring honor to Christ.
Prayer is a major part of the services at Grace. We believe that God does everything in answer to prayer. We'll open the meeting in prayer, and many times will offer prayer for special requests of our church family during the service. If you have a specific prayer request, we'd love to share your burden.
God's Word is the answer to every problem we face. We believe that the Bible preaching is the most important part of every service. God's Word has the power to comfort, correct, instruct, and fix any situation.
At the end of the preaching, the congregation will be asked to stand for an invitation. This is a time for many to respond and make a life-changing decision by walking down the aisle and praying at the altar. A decision may be to trust Jesus Christ as personal Savior or to become a better Christian. Whatever your decision may be, the altar is open to you to join scores of others who are making decisions for Christ.
Be our guest this Sunday!
